The Chamber supports the entrepreneurial spirit and has always recognized the importance of involving a wide cross section of the community in its membership. This resulted in the facilitating micro businesses to improve their standard of operations. Over the years this has extended to the Craft Traders, Hair Braiders and Itinerant Vendors and this support continues in a variety of ways.

	.: Vendors Plaza :.
	This complex of shops was established under by the Chamber in association with the Negril Itinerant Vendors Association with support from USAID. There was some improvement and additional measures are being taken to continue this trend. There are still major improvements needed to the physical plant and this at the forefront of the operational plans for the complex.

	.: Negril Hair Braiders Association :.
	The Hairbraiders Association continues to be an active in and is represented on the Board of Directors of the Chamber. Members have expressed an interest in expanding their scope of business so as to increase the opportunities for income generation. The Aloe Vera project was relocated to the grounds of the Recycling Centre and is being further developed by identifying new marketing possibilities which exist for this product. This is being incorporated into the Plant Nursery Project which is now being established. .:. back to top
